However, your application should reflect your own ideas, experiences, and authentic voice. Do not copy and paste AI-generated text or submit work that does not represent you.”
New for the 2026-27 cycle: Michigan replaced its fraud-standard-by-reference page with explicit guidance (Representing Your Authentic Voice, on the essay-questions page). The helpful-uses list is expressly non-exhaustive (such as), bounded by the authentic-voice requirement and a ban on pasting AI-generated text.
